My Positive Daily Habits

It's difficult to make time in your day for the things that really matter. We're bombarded with emails and endless tasks daily. You can't see your kids as much as you'd like. You don't spend enough time with your partner. Your diet suffers because you don't have time to prepare your meals properly.

These are all common trends within, not only myself but a lot of my customers. I've tried to focus on some positive daily habits to improve my wellbeing & here are a few things that have worked well for me;

  1. Setting my alarm early

  2. Hot shower & skincare

  3. Hydrate

  4. Set some goals

  5. A car coffee

  6. Daily walk

  7. Running

  8. Good nights sleep

OK – let's get into it.

Setting my alarm early

I like to set my alarm early to allow more prep time for work, not stressing out about running late, getting up before the family for a peaceful morning & it gives me chance to get to work early & prep for my day.

Hot shower & skincare

I start every day with a hot shower to wake me up followed by a basic skincare routine to make my skin feel good & freshen me up at the same time.

Hydrate

Really important healthy habit for me is to ensure I drink enough water. It helps me focus, stops me getting headaches & keeps my skin healthier.

Set some goals

Doesn't matter if I'm at home or at work, I find that I work better & I'm more productive if I plan what I want to achieve each day & tick it off as I go.

A car coffee

Doesn't sound like a healthy habit, I know! But I make myself a coffee every morning to take on my commute to work, stick my tunes on & it's a real chance to relax... so for me a healthy habit for my mind!

Daily walk

Great way to clear my mind, get some fresh air & make sure that I'm getting enough steps in everyday. I'm a massive believer' that walking everyday is essential for positive mental health whether it's first thing in the morning or part way throughout the day.

Running

I run in the evenings to help me de-stress, switch off & zone out. Listen to music & calm my mind down before bed. Not always done daily but I feel much better when I do manage a daily run.

Good nights sleep

This is a tricky one for me as a dad to small children its not always realistic but trying to get an early nights sleep & a solid sleep is really important & massively impacts on what my next day will be like.

Please share any positive daily habits that you've picked up along the way. I think this is a really important focus for men & I'm always up for trying any new ideas & sharing them within the eclectic community.
